OUR PASTOR

 

Rev. Adamio Charles Boddie was born in Washington, D.C., and transitioned from a faithful church go-er to a permanent servant of God by accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior on February 1, 1998 at the Joshua Group Ministries. Educated in the District of Columbia Public Schools and a Business Administration graduate of Howard University, it was during his final semester of completing an MBA at Johns Hopkins University that he accepted his calling to preach the gospel on April 13th, 2000. He was licensed and ordained by the Nineteenth Street Baptist Church on September 27, 2001 and June 12, 2005 respectively. While there he served as the Youth Minister, fulfilling his burning passion to share the good news of salvation to the future leaders of tomorrow. He also served and as the worship leader for First Fridays Ministry, a ministry, in coalition with four other churches, that provided the necessary spiritual encouragement, growth and guidance to assist today’s generation of young adults throughout the Washington Metropolitan Area. After graduating summa cum laude in May 2005 from Howard University with a Master of Divinity, Rev. Boddie accepted his calling to serve as the Assistant Pastor at the Third Street Church of God in Washington, DC. During his tenure, he served as the youth and young adult pastor, minister of visitation, financial adviser, adviser to the Seniors ministry and the Urban Prayer Breakfast, a church outreach ministry that ministered God’s word and provided a hot meal to the homeless community daily. After much prayer and 7 years of preparation in various ministerial positions, Rev. Boddie accepted the call to pastor during a prayer meeting in his home on October 9, 2008 with seven other faithful servants. Thus, New Hope Community Fellowship Church was birthed with the vision, “Living with Hope as the Kingdom of God." (Luke 17 20:21) He currently lives in Washington, D.C., and his hobbies include reading, football, basketball, tennis, golf and traveling.
